Simply RedIt’s Only Love
‘It’s Only Love’, written by siblings Jimmie & Vella Cameron, was originally recorded by Barry White in 1978. Over a decade later, in 1989, Simply Red recorded their version of ‘It’s Only Love’, released as a single from their third studio album A New Flame.
The recording showcased Mick’s soulful vocals and the band’s powerful instrumentation, and became an instant fan favourite. The Recollections version of ‘It’s Only Love’ sounds fresher and more soulful than ever.
