Oh those bloody sunglasses. :-\ Though they were removed for the encore, of which I’m grateful.
For me, this was the start of the end and I didn’t know what to expect. It was marvellous to see Dave performing in his home town. I’d imagine he felt very proud. There was probably people sitting in the audience thinking (of Dave), “gee I know that face”, “Looks like someone I went to school/work with, “where do I know that face from”. They then raced home after the show, checked the website and they too then felt proud to know they had a past acquaintance who’s done so well.
Well done Simply Red for the final ever Sheffield show. Sans sunglasses would have been better. :-)

Thanks for another great show from a fantastic band. Mick sounded amazing as always. Cant beleive that was the last time I saw this wonderful band perform. Seen you loads of times. I was very emotional at the end of the show but I have some wonderful memories. Thankyou for your music it has got me through sad times and bought me lots of happiness. xx
What a fabulous concert. Every single thing about it was wonderful. Mick, you sing so superbly but with such ease and from your heart. The Band are outstanding musicians.
It was very emotional for me, not only because it was a farewell concert, but every time I have seen you in the past I have been with my Daughter Rebecca who was a massive fan. She has every CD, DVD etc. She knew every word to every song, which CDs the tracks were on and even what number they were and how long they lasted. Sadly she was brutally murdered some time ago whilst in her room at University so as you can imagine the tears were flowing, especially when you peformed Stars as this was played at her funeral. However, I know she was with us and I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
Some of the happiest memories I have are when we were together watching Simply Red so thank you so much for creating those memories.
Your final farewell concert at Sheffield is one which will be with me forever.
Simply Red you were amazing at sheffield arena what a wonderful night, Mick you voice is to die for, so sorry it will be the last time we see you live. Enjoy your rest and family.

shame my niece couldn,t make it due to the weather, it was a great night. It would be great for the people who couldn,t make it to get a DVD,video etc of the concert in return for their unused ticket(s)as they had booked in advance
i was front row at this concert it was such an amazing experience, the concert was fantastic we sang and danced our way through the bands history we loved every minute.
we also got to relive it at the cinema what an experience to stand and sing again with an amazing group of fans.
i will miss this so much thank you and good luck to mick and the band with where ever life takes them xx
Another fantastic performance from a fantastcic band. Mick you gave another brilliant performance as always…your voice is incredible. Been to see you so many times…hope I get to see you perform again. Will miss seeing you all so much. I know I have cds and dvds but nothing compares to seeing you live. There were a few tears at the end of the show couldn’t help it. Thanks so much for your music. I have some wonderful memories. xxx

Amazing performance as always, we were on our feet from the moment you walked on stage and didnt sit down agian. We have followed you over the years, traveling miles to see you and the band including venues abroad, cant beleive we wont see you again. The only thing that spoilt it for me Mick was the sun glasses, did forgive you though when you took them off for the encore. Thanks for the last 25 years. Love to you all.
Absolutely awesome ‚made me cry Mick! Will miss you and the band,can’t believe no more Simply Red .My feet and voice hurt,danced and sang from the moment you stepped on stage last night.Fantatstic crowd.
Thank you for the last 25 yrs,I started my nurse training at the same time as picture book,felt old at the thought but brought back some great memories of the last 25yrs with you.

25th time I’ve seen simply red in 25years, amazing night, should have ditched the sunglasses though Mick :) where were the backing girls as well!! We’ll miss you, you’re simply brilliant
Brilliant as always. We’ve spent a fortune over the years following Mick and the boys–every penny worth it. The sound was superb, the boys were very relaxed, the play list was just right. See you on Saturday at the O2 –just hoping we can get down through the snow.

Went to Motorpoint Arena last night. The band was absolutley fantastic and Micks voice was incredible! So sad we won’t see them again. I wish they would continue with the great music!
Oh my God! Can’t believe it’s took me so long to see you guys since you all started out, but it was worth the wait!!!!
I just didn’t want it to end… it was an amazing night even though I cried through half of it so sad your going but an unbelivable goodbye!

Well what can i say what a fantastic show yet again they just dont let anyone down. Must admit had a tear in the eye at the end but im sure Mick will carry on doing fantastic stuff as we are all used to. Loved the setlist and the stage looked amazing. Also thought that Macy Gray was fantastic best support i have seen.

What a fantastic night, Mick’s voice is so strong and the band were amazing too. Can’t believe this is the last time i can see them they should carry on for years to come. The atmosphere in the arena was electric, i didn’t stop singing and dancing all night!!

Went to Sheffield last night, what a truely great proformance by Mick and the band, they had the place rocking, and they looked to be enjoying themselves also.

Was taken to gig by parents IT WAS AWESOME
Well this was the fourth gig of my minitour and another wonderful night with as usual a faultless performance from Mick and the boys. Sad that its nearly all over yet loving the performance each time. Another sold out gig a sign of a great band! Looking forward to my final gigs at the O2 was originally going for just the Sunday but was offered a ticket for saturday and Row 2 so its got to be done! A rocking weekend at the O2 beckons!
Great to see old and new friends this evening this is one more thing I will miss meeting fellow fans. My evening was complete as I was presented with Mick’s setlist for the evening (complete with duct tape still attached) by Mick one of the roadies — an excellent memento!

Been to Sheffield Arena tonight and what a fantastic night it was. My mother and I were on our feet, as were everyone around us, throughout the concert.
Such a shame its your final tour however a brilliant way to end!
