this was classic SR blown away by a fantastic performance from Mick and the band . Bravo!
What a fabulous night , I cannot stop playing your music, its in my head, its in my car, I am driving everyone mad with my attempt at singing your songs. The musicians were fantastic, note perfect and as for Mick, he gets better with age, like that wine he is so fond of , if you want my husband to paint your portrait please let us know, it would be a gift to you, for your music, he has an online gallery.
Be happy.

“went to notts arena concert last night, great performance only marred by what can be described as inconsiderate @@@@@ people standing up,”
I’m not sure how familiar with SR concerts, but why would you want to stay sitting down at one?
WOWWWWWWWW!!! Went to see Simply Red yesterday at Nottingham Arena, I’ve wanted to see them since I was little…I grew up listening to their music with their Picture Book album amongst their others as a regular CD in my car, and Im so glad I finally got to do it.
The concert was utterly amazing, the vocals pitch perfect and the percussion and strings spot on. The whole show was pure quality, the sound so good it that my only regret was that I had not been to see them way before now. Macy Gray as a supporting act was perfect, listening to Macy and the band and her incredible backing singer (including her afro) was like sitting in — and listening to a 70’s soul funk band in a live lounge…wickiiiid!!
The hundreds rows of heads below me bopping on the non tiered floor looked like cauliflour’s moving to the beat.…was absolutely excellent.
Simply Red will always be the best band ever to surface. Mick is still looking fantastic and theres something ever so phwaaor about his dancing.…
downloaded the simfy USB stick of the concert tonight.…ahhhh I digress back 24 hours.. just amazing
Had a brilliant time at Nottingham! Stood up as soon as the band came on stage and started playing Come To My Aid and stayed standing till the end of the show! Loved it, great atmosphere — one huge party.
Adele.
The concert was amazing and i loved the tribute to Barry White. Thank you Mick for a night out in a lifetime.
WHERE CAN WE SEE THE LAST CONCERT AT A CINEMA PLEASE?
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.WE WERE ON THE FRONT ROW AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS OF OUR LIVES.EVEN AFTER 25 YEARS SIMPLY RED STILL GIVE IT THEIR ALL AND THEY STILL ENJOY DOING IT.IT IS SUCH A SHAME THEY ARE FINISHING AS A GROUP BUT WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT CHAPTER IN MICKS CAREER.HOPE HE HAS A WELL EARNED BREAK FIRST.THANKS FOR SUCH A GREAT PERFORMANCE.SEE YOU AT THE CINEMA FOR THE SCREENING OF THE VERY LAST CONCERT.
went to notts arena concert last night, great performance only marred by what can be described as inconsiderate @@@@@ people standing up, asked politely for them to sit down as they were OLD enough to know better but no joy, great experience ruined for my 13yr old daughter who has been waiting so long to see the great simply red!

Nottingham 9th December. Absolutely brilliant! What a voice, what a performance. We all loved it, from Amanda, Jem, Mike, Nicki & James
Absolutly fantastic. One of a kind. It was an honour to have been there. They never disappoint. Thankyou for your music.xxxx
WHY OH WHY LEAVE OUT ”A NEW FLAME”! OMG that was a shame!
Wonderful night though. Truly fantastic performer.
Awesome.
Excellent gig as ever tonight, shame next one is Glasgow and the band had to leave without time to speak to fans waiting outside this time. Its a long way to travel though so understandable. Looking forward to the MEN on Sunday now!
Hard to believe this was last time we will see SR perform in Nottingham!
Just got home from Nottingham and what a fantastic night. The man has a voice of an angel and it was just brilliant, brilliant brilliant. I’m still buzzing!! Very sad to think it’s the end of a great band. Many Thanks x x x x
Have seen every concert at Nottingham and this was just as good as the 2000. Really sad that this is the final one. Will be going to the cinema on the 19th to watch the one from the O2. Love and all good wishes to Mick and the band. What happened to Dee and Sarah?
amazing concert at nottingham.mick at his best.thank you so much for a amazing nite.
Flawless performance by Mick and the band. So sad that this is the end of Simply Red but wish you all the best for the future. I was at Nottingham the night you opened the arena and so glad we have tickets for your final show at the O2 on the 19th!Waited outside to see the band leave and try and get our programme signed but you were pushed for time and got straight on the bus. Hope we’re luckier on the 19th Love from Paul and Janet
