This is GOOD!!!

Andreia.
Brilliant, have listened a few times, thanks for providing the "listening party" for us all. Fav's are Lead Me On, Cry Cry Cry, Chains of Love, and have listed them on the Forum pages. Can't wait to hear you sing them live....by the time you begin your tour your own flavor of the songs will shine on. Best Wishes for Success, it's a "natural".... Love from Lin and Mark xxx

Very many grateful thanks for the online album listening party. A brilliant idea for all those of who haven't been to an album listening party in the past. I never doubted that the album would be brilliant. I've only got as far as track 8 so far but love it so much that I couldn't wait until I'd heard them all to say how much I'm enjoying this change of musical direction. Can't wait for the gig at Wolverhampton to hear them live. Once again Mick, you've given each of the songs your own 'special' treatment. This album is pure genius, more of the same in the future please.

Hmmm... I think it's the 6th or 7th time I'm listening now. And I'm sure it won't be the last time!! Means, these songs certainly must have something! ;-) Great stuff, really! It's so much fun listening. I'm wishing you great success with that release and everything that'll follow and I hope I'll see you live somewhere this summer. It's so great to hear you are using all your possibilities that you have as an independent artist now! Congratulations!!! :-D

hugs & kisses SimplyMichi *happy*
PS: Are you going to have the lyrics online and/or in the album booklet???

SimplyMichi
Not that I had any doubts :-) ....but I was truly impressed. The album sounds Awesome! I can honestly say its the first time in practically my entire "life" that I don't feel the need to skip a track. It's a great tribute! My dad, who is a BBB fan and who also was very skeptical lol, sat stunned as he listened). Needless to say, he asked me to pre-order a copy for himself. Mick & the Band are BRILLIANT on this Album! Good luck with the Tour & Thanks for the Listening Party!

Alex (Liverpool)
hey Mick....you did it again....how you always, or pretty much always manage to come up with vocals and music that have life in them andexpress what I could never put into words is one of the things about your music that is....well...original....I thought the band shines on "yolanda" and "poverty"...I thought your vocals were extra good on "I wouldn't treat a dog the way you treated me"....I also liked "i'll take care of you" and "I pity the fool".....I was so glad that you don't seem to have lost a step....I mean I'm not crazy about every song on the album, but who cares?...there's some interesting stuff on there....I don't know if any of these songs will grow to mean as much to me as some of your strictly personally original works have, but I think it shows you've still got talent and you still sound good...good for you...

I love the blues, baby. Thank you Mick and Company for the online listening party, what a treat. I knew this would be goood! My favorites are: Too Far Gone- This one makes me cry. Love it! I Wouldn't Treat A Dog(The Way You Treated Me)-This reminds me of the Motown sound from the 60's, infused with Hucknall. Gooood groooove! Lead Me On-Mostly vocal on this one and I just like listening to Mick's voice, so slow, here. I'll Take Care Of You-I do believe this is my #1 favorite. This rocks and cries with a clean mix of instument time and vocal. Love the arrangement. I like this one much better than Bobby's 1959 version. All in all Mick. Good Job! I have a few genre specific radio stations in mind to send this c.d. to when it is released. Hope your're still going to use Amazon as your distributor, cause I'm going to need more than a few of these. Speaking of which-Is this in the plan? Is this a given, that you guys would assume that United States radio stations would be interested in this Tribute album. You really should go for it!

Thanks Mick for the on-line listening party to your new CD! What a great way to allow all of your fans (not just the fans who would be able to attend a live event) to have a listen to all of the tracks before the official release. Very cool! I've been listening to the tracks many times so far & I'm really enjoying the tunes. I was not much of a blues fan before your new CD but with every listen I really like the sound & have even checked out Bobby's original versions. Good stuff. Your new venture has made me become quite interested to check out other Blues artists and hopefully I will find more artists like Bobby in the future to check out. Blues music is the building blocks of many other musical types including roots of jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, bluegrass, hip-hop, and other popular music forms but it's not popular everywhere in the USA. I hope you do plan on releasing the CD in the USA and maybe even do a few shows too to show the American public Blues is an important musical force. I wish you lots of luck & plenty of CD sales in the future! Best Wishes with all you do!!! XOXO

WOW! These songs are amazing!! Ain't that Loving You reminds me of Ain't That a Lot of Love. Some of the songs also remind me of the song that Mick sang with B.B. King. I can really relate to the song Poverty, especially the line "I pay my bills, I can't pay my rent". I was worried that I wouldn't like Mick Hucknall's solo album as much as Simply Red ones, but I do! In fact, I think this album is even better than the last Simply Red album.(Stay) I really can't pick a favourite song yet because I love them ALL! If this is what we have to look forward to in Mick's solo career, I want to hear MORE!!

Janice
Chains of Love fantastic, can't stop listening to it. Mick your voice just gets better - see you in London and Bristol.

Sue and Pete
Sounds great, have listened over and over again. Would sound even better (if that's possible) if i we had a bottle of Il Cantante to drink whilst listening. Please where can we get some from?

From a very thirsty Jill & Steve xx
