hey Mick, Ian, the band.…didn’t listen to your music just too much this week.…sometimes I caught myself humming a tune to the words of my favorite lyrics of yours though.….I think one of the things I like about your music is that it helps me relax sometimes.….with everybody in the world aching the way they are, just looking and hoping for a little ray of light (thank you fairground) shining through, it’s a beautiful gift that you give through your music.…a bit of happiness.…I really don’t know how you manage to keep it up, but I imagine there are times when you’re aching like everybody else.….so for those times, and for all of us, may God be there for you and for us, mercifully.….

hey Mick, Ian the band.….how about those videos from Latin America you put up on you tube?.… I haven’t watched them all.….the ones I did watch weren’t too bad.…I kind of enjoyed them.…which is nice.…at least for those of us watching you.….I hope you are having a reasonably good time performing as you seem to, and it seems likely to me you are, or how else could you bring such peace and happiness to those who listen to you and watch you?.…so anyways, keep up the good work, and may God bless you, particularly when things get a little challenging.…God be with you!.…I hope I hope I hope.……

hey Ian, Mick, the band.…I am just thanking God with a bit of joy in my heart for your music, which has helped me see the light of God’s love shining in things like the Eucharist, the bible, confession, prayer and even other people.…your music makes me feel like God is God, and we are not, and that that is happiness, and maybe it will all work out in the end.….I LOVE it.….what a joy your talents are for so many.…no wonder so many women “dig” you, like they say.….

hey you all– Mick, Ian, the band.….been having sort of a tough time of it in some respects lately.…but you know what?…your music helps make my burdens easier to bear…coupled with things like prayer and the bible etc. of course.…surely God must be at work in you all even just a little bit.…how else could such good come from your music?.…

hey Ian, Mick, the band.….just got sort of a real charge out of listening to some of your music from various periods of your career.….it occurred to me that something I really like about your music, at least for me, is it makes the truth appealing.….the words of your music distill a truth, and that truth might just be heaped on the pile of cliches we’ve all heard etc. except it is stated in a orginal way, with your bright, hopeful voice, and excellent music backing it up.…unforgettable.……

hey Ian, Mick, the band.….nothing too spectacular to say, just still enjoy your music, and find that your it, combined with faith and things like prayer, the Eucharist, confession, the bible, makes life more enjoyable to live.…at least for me.…..

Hey Mick, Ian, the band.…just wanted to say that I think you are doing a pretty good job with your music, the tour etc.…. I think that as human beings, you are flawed like the rest of us, so obviously, if people look long and hard enough at what you do, and how you do it, they will be able to find legitimate areas where you have been remiss.…I only hope that you can continue to produce music that has, for me, been very helpful in my finding some degree of happiness, and that you all too, continue to find some degree of peace and happiness in your lives and music, cause I think it has done, and can do, a lot of good.…so thank God for you!.…..

Hey Mick, Ian, the band. Just enjoyed listening to some of your music from "picture book", "home", "men and women", and "a new flame". I also listened to "I have the love" on your my space page. I like the lyrics of "I have the love" in connection with SOME of the melody on the song. But on the whole I like the song. I think I like it for the same reason I like other songs of yours- i.e. it tells an important truth. The truth you hit on this time, I think, is that if you are a man, to have a woman somewhere, somehow, who at least loves you a little bit in some way, is just a blessing from Almighty God in heaven. And something we all need.

hey Ian…Mick…the band.….was listening to “holding back the years” last night and this morning a little.….what a beautiful song…it’s so deep.….and for me, particularly today, just like the first time I heard it back in the restless 80’s, it epitomizes the whole idea of faith, hope and love and does so with a deep sense of peace.….beautiful.…I could have lived 200 years and I never would have had the talent to write such a song that you wrote when you were so young.…peace, Mick, to you and the band for helping to give me a deep sense of peace through your music, in co-operation with my faith and things like the bible.…peace.….
