Fantastic concert as always, super venue and well organised. Sat in 2nd seated area and was surprised how many empty seats there were. Lucky people villa behind, who got a not so good view but free concert. Only in Tenerife for 4 days and yes we went specially to see SR. Worth every penny. Thanks for a great concert, see you in December.

Fantastic & Amazing concert, we were lucky enough to be given tickets front row centre as a present, our first ever concert together and it was our wedding anniversary.
I’ve always wanted to see Simply Red live, always listened throughout Mick’s carreer, did not let any of his fans down.
We thought it was a bit short and shame some locals decided there seats were not good enough and kept standing in front of everyone for the last 6 or so songs.
    NO NEED REALLY EH!!

Well done Mick and the band.….Brilliant

  6. Julie says:

Great concert Mick, really enjoyed the atmosphere and meeting other Expat fans. I did miss the standing section not being at the front but you are amazing from anywhere. We have only just got back from our week in Tenerife, hence the late review, but what a good week and you being the highlight. Really enjoyed having a drink with Sue and Neil after the show.

Hope to see you soon, don’t ever stop singing please!
    Love you

Fabulous concert! I first saw Simply Red back in 1985 in Bristol when they started out, they are as good now as then and I’m glad I saw their last concert. The arrangement was very good, the band, music and Mick’s vocals excellent and the stage set up and lighting was good. The only disconcerting thing was when the search light shone out into the crowd and temporarily blinded us, but hell we got through it! Best concert to come to Tenerife yet. He has so much energy and the whole concert was tight and just enough. Please come back!

Another great gig, in an amazing setting.
The band played what has become the regular set for this part of the tour. 17 songs. Mick changed Enough mid-set to MORE..we guessed the opening line of ‘we used to meet up in the Mountains’ probably prompted the change given the location and set back-drop…
The fact that some comments relate to the length of the gig may be an expectation thing.. When we arrived on the island we spoke to a local ex-pat who said that Elton John did this gig a couple of years back and was on stages for 3 hours, maybe some consider that the norm?
The audience wasn’t a typical SR crowd. Many in the really expensive area in front of where we were had gone there to be seen, meet friends, party, or all three..By the time of ‘Stars’ everyone became more focussed on the gig and danced until the end. Prior to that some of the crowd movement was quite distracting (a bit like Picadilly Circus). Mick commented he couldn’t see the fans, that was perhaps partly because the front seated sections where much more spread out that necessary..really comfortable for those in there but the area could have been substabtially condensed to get the standing fans much closer to the stage.
We met a few people for a drink afterwards, including another travelling UK based fan, they were all singing the praises of Mick and the band.
I think this was our 12th concert of the current tour, every one has been worth at least a 9 out of 10…Maybe 10 will be researved for the 19th Dec?
As for the trip.…top notch: Sun, Sea, and Simply Red, oh and the odd bacardi & cola light..I can heartily recommend the Costa Adeje Gran, not the cheapest hotel but pretty perfect..

  9. Sonia says:

Fabulous concert, we had 5 front row seats. We all loved every minute of it, great songs, Mick Hucknall has a great voice. Thank you for visiting Tenerife.

  10. Patricia says:

The concert was a little bit short in my opinion, but Mick was amazing, incredible voice and musicians.

  11. katrien says:

Was leuk , maar 1u20min. was nou echt iets te kort !

  12. Kerry says:

Didn´t last long the concert last night in Costa Adeje, but his voice and the band amazing..

  13. Caithriona says:

Great concert, Mick has so much energy and his voice is amazing! I will be going to see him in Dublin in November, cant wait!!
