Thanks to “Simfy Live” for capturing everlasting memories, in close up what we missed first time round

Who knows what the future will bring, many thanks for the many years of your entertainment and dedication to the music of Simply Red—– all the best to you and and all of your band members who provided us with 25 years of unforgetable and enjoyable memories

How about a “Singstar” to keep shared memories alive

    Cheers
Merry Xmas & a Happy new year

Thank you to Mick and the band for a wonderful last night of class entertainment. I have seen Simply Red many times and have never been disapointed, my husband came with me as this was a birthday treat for me. Wot a birthday!!! I was on my feet and dancing from the start this is what to expect with other Simply red fans. We stayed in a nearby hotel and thanks to the guy from Fife who listened to my ravings about Mick!!! Will be keeping an eye out for Mick in the future as whatever he does we will all follow.Good luck Mick, love you lots xxx

  4. mags says:

hi ruston, if you go to the simpfy live site they will send you the links to download the concert and the video, not fair i think as we already paid for it on the night,

  6. Ruston Baker says:

A Great tribute to the tightest band and Micks orginization ! I flew in from the States to see this one ! Great Mick, by the way? I purchased a usb at the concert and there is nothing on it ?? could someone inlighten me on this or could i send it back for a good one! It may be a flawed one ! What can I say, fab, fab, fab !!! I have been to many Simply Red concerts over the last 25 years , 2 this year Edinburgh Castle in July and this one , I think out of all off them this was definately the best ( appart from Cuba !! )I was on my feet from start to finish ( as usual ) my husband came with me this time, he’d never been before and he saw me in a different light. Hoarse and tired on Saturday , but hey ho.…. Mick and the band, you’ll be missed , good luck for the future .

  9. Glenys says:

Had a fab night in Glasgow — was at the last concert in Glasgow must be about 10 or more years ago — missed the female backing singers you had then they were out of this world, funny how you expect things to be the same, hope you change you’re mind and tour again PPPleeese x

  10. margaret says:

fantastic night from beginning to end ‚macey gray was a pleasant suprise .mick and the band what can be said simply brilliant thank you so very much spoiled slightly by the girls yaking all the way through the night girls you should have stayed home and simply put on a cd!!!

  11. Lynn Fraser says:

Can’t believe 10th of December 2010 will be the last time we hear Simply Red in Scotland. Full show was fantastic — from Stage Set to every member of the band. Mick ‘Golden Tonsils’ Hucknell was truly brilliant. I have followed your music for 25 years, through marriage to having babies and our 25th Wedding Anniversary and shared the up and downs of life with my best friend Elaine to the soundtrack of Simply Red. Thanks for the memories. Never mind Holding back the Years — We couldn’t “Hold back the Tears” on Friday night — Will ye no come back again????? You will be missed more than your know. All the best for the future.

  12. kevin graham says:

what can i say,the best concert ive ever been to,the guy is fantastic, brilliant concert, brilliant all round really !!!!!!!! nearly gone but definately not forgotten.…

  13. Like everybody else so sad that it is the end of Simply Red — can’t believe that Mick won’t sing any of the Red songs again. Loved the Concert in the SECC — had brill seats (only downside was a guy behind us thought that he was Mick and screamed all the words out) Wondered where the girls backing singers were?? Missed them. Excellent musicians as usual and Mick well you are Simpy the Best!! Macy was just ok thought that the music for her was far too loud. Anyway come back soon Mick — love your music!

  14. Alison B says:

If i never get to another concert i’ll still be happy coz i saw the best at this one.
Thank You Mick and The Band and the backing singers and not to forget Macy Gray.
Those who missed it,what a shame, you missed a real treat.
To the security guard who stopped me going to the front, sorry for sneaking past when you werent looking and to the nice one who let me past him no problem,Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Mick, WE WILL MISS YOU,THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES.

  15. Grace McNee says:

Another fanatastic concert. I have been a huge fan for all of the 25 years and have been to concerts all over.Hamburg was especially special as we went with the fan club and were in at the sound check when Mick sang requests for us and then got back stage for a very special time. Thank you thank you for all the wonderful memeories of the best music sang by the best voice in the world. I wish I could have made it to London for the very last one unfortunately no more holidays left so it was not to be. I will be watching out for whatever you choose to do in the future as I cannot imagine never hearing you sing live again. Once again THANK YOU!!!

  16. Darren Mark says:

Just returned home to the Wirral from Simply Reds Glasgow concert and I would like to echo all the comments before me.Absolutely fantastic night up in the party capital, including Macey Grays’ contribution,I’m still buzzing, the only downside for me was I was to the right of the stage, unbelievable seat at the end of the 3rd row and I left my camera in my hotel room,so I will have to make do with the memory stick, still great memories. Thanks for the music Mick and the rest of the band and good luck for the future.

So glad the weather changed for the better and we were able to get to the concert. Had a great time and loved every minute off it. Simply Red have seen me through many moments in my life and so sad it has come to an end. I have great memories starting from 1985 in Sauchiehall Street to following them in the dizzy heights of fame. Thank you Mick for the journey.

  20. Carrie & Morag says:

What a fantastic night. I bought the tickets as a Mothers Day pressie for my mum (Morag). She has loved Mick and the boys for a long time (especially Mick!) but had never seen them live. Mum loved it — from Macy Gray to Holding Back The Years she was up on her feet. I have to say that this is a concert I will remember for a long time — I was spellbound from start to finish. Thanks Mick xxxxxx.

one word sums up the concert awesome i have been to a few concerts with a few big artists and simply red are right at the top of the tree with the best of them you had the capacity crowd screaming for more it was well worth the two hour train journey thanks and good luck.

  23. Linda, Thomas and Matthew says:

What a show (as ever!) — so sad that Simply Red are no longer continuing — but the music will stay with us all forever. Just one thing that bugs me at a Simply Red concert — its impossible to sit down and my feet are killing me — superb! Good luck to each and every one of you — thank you so much for all the years of pleasure in your music Mick xxx

  24. Tracey says:

I saw you perfom for the first time 25 years ago when you supported UB40 was proud to see you for the last time in the same place. It was a fantastic experience and Mick sounds exactly the same.…..awesome!!!!

Thank you to the very kind security guy who allowed me to stand closer to the stage for the encore, meant so much to me.
Good Luck in the future Mick and many thanks. x

  26. Denise Chappell says:

Great night and a fantastic show, we waited so long to see you and you did not disappoint us.
