Took my little sister along to hear true raw tallent of Mick’s vocals and the rest of Simply Red. She said it was the best concert she had ever been to. Followed Simply red for 19 year and all I can say is I look forward to hearing Mick’s solo career in the future. I couldnt believe he sang so well with a chest infection. The only singer I know who sounds so much better live than on the tracks! Fantastic night and fantastic setting. Best wishes for the rest of the tour!!! Jay also sang very well too!
x
ANOTHER FANTASIC EVENING WITH SIMPLY RED!! Thank you
Great venue, great support band (going to be looking out for Jay and the Boys)great band and Mick — you just get better and better (if thats possible)going to miss Simply Red, but have lots of lovely memories and looking forward to a new chapter. xx
What more can I say that already hasn’t been said — FANTICTIC NIGHT thank you — great venue, great support band, amazing band and Mick you just get better and better (if thats possible)going to miss Simply Red after all these years, but still have losts of lovely memories. Looking forward to the next chapter. x
What more can we say that hasn’t already been said — WHAT A FANTASTIC NIGHT — We were fairly close to the front (the closest we have even been!) Mick, you just get better and better (If thats possible)Going to miss you and Simply Red, but looking forward to a new chapter.
I loved this venue, the easiest Simply red concert to get to ever, it was only a 15 min drive from my parents house and I managed to get out quickly too!!!!! If Mick can sing ‘Heaven’ like that with a sore throat, I cant wait to hear what he does in December when he is well!!!!!
Cant wait for December, I hate travelling on the tube to the O2 but Mick, I’ll do it to see you one last time..lots of love as always xxx
What A Great Great Gig„Mick & The Lads as usual were outstanding. The Vox from Mick just get better and better everytime I see him(I certainly did not hear the chest infection causing alot of probs with his voice).Loved the tracks from Picture Book and Men & Women albums been played once again.Brought back so many memories to the twin bro and myself when we heard them.
Dalby Forest is the best.Been there before seeing UB40..LOve The Venue..Just Cant Beat It!!Just the 5 1/2 hour drive from Scotland too it..lol„And big shout out to the Security great bunch of guys„Ended up sings and dancing away with a few of them at the Bar.
Big Shout Out To Steve Lewinson..Thanks for the Pics with The Big LOve Reggae Crew,
See U Guys at the SECC in Glasgow in Dec..
Beautiful setting and I thought Mick’s voice was superb despite his obvious problem. The security and all those involved were superb to deal with so thanks for that.
Bad points
The sound, unless you were at the front, was very poor. We were halfway back and it felt like we were gate crashing the party from distance.
How a full tour with non of the important backing singers that “fill” the songs present is scandalous, lacked cohesion and musical balance.
Mick’s voice I am sure is getting better with age though a real depth to it.
Enjoyable but as my school report would say could do better.
had a wonderful night mick was wonderful shame about trying to get out of the forest after concert it was terrifing police should have done more ot help traffic still had a wonderful time for a first time concert goer
Fantastic evening in Dalby Forest. Great band, great music, great setting. Loved every minute.
Amazing Evening Wish i could turn back time and do it all again .
See you in Dec at the MEN
What a wonderful night.…I have been following you for 19 years and for the first time I brought my 7 year old daughter with me to witness your pure talent in action… she loved it and sang her little heart out all night long. As we were leaving the forest she asked when she can go again? Amazing setting for the most amazing band in the world… Thankyou for all the wonderful music and wonderful memories you have given me over the last 19 years… Congratulations on your 25 years together and a special thankyou to Steve Lewinson for signing the program for my daughter..you are a star…xxxxxx
What a fantastic night. Even though Mick had a sore throat and chest infection he did us proud ! The place rocked. His band are simply amazing.
Met some lovely people in the Queue and the security guards were great.Well done Dalby !!
what a fantastic night in Dalby Forest Mick was as usual perfect even though he wasnt well, and the band especially Ian were on top form. I was right at the front for the first time ever got some brilliant photos everlasting memories, cant’wait for December although think it will be a very emotional night!!!!
As usual England’s best ever singer/songwriter delivered a stunning performance supported by an awesome group of musicians. Vocals were amazing despite Mick saying he had a cold. Thank you for the last 25 years guys, it’s been a blast.
Dalby Forest Rocks … Simply Red
A vibrant set from across 25 years featuring hits from Picture Book, A New Flame, Stars and Life … offset the evening chill.
Mick’s summer cold did not stop him hitting all the notes…
a resilient set of vocal cords were as ever in evidence…
The band hit the beat perfect…
Well Done Forestry Commission — perfect setting for a wonderful evening
See you all again at Sheffield in December …
brilliant
