Mick in great voice and band tight. Great mix of songs, his version of Etta James’ ‘I’d Rather go Blind’ outstanding. He created his usual rapport with an audience who didn’t want to leave. Thanks again Mick, come back soon.

  2. Alan Young Says:

I had been looking forward to this gig for months and it was such an amazing feeling to be in the audience and listening to Mick perform songs that i had only heard on record. From the familiar songs from the American Soul album, to the Simply red classics like something got me started and if you don’t know me by now, he certainly didn’t disappoint! I thought his band were amazing too! Please come back to Glasgow again soon Mick!

I’d seen Mick twice before with Simply Red and was glad to have the chance to see him perform songs from “American Soul” which is a great album sang brilliantly. Again on stage he delivered, Mick really enjoyed himself was energetic and had smooth vocals, supported by a great band – my Glasgow audience were in fine voice and loved every single moment – Mick and Simply Red songs are so well loved.
I hope American Soul 2 is on the cards because it should be. Do the Falkirk Stadium next time Mick!!

I’d seen Mick (simply red)a few times and I have been a fan for years. His “American Soul” tour (GLASGOW)was absolutely fantastic. I could listen to him day and night. Loved his mix of old and new and the cover versions he did. The royal concert hall was a great venue and I hope its not too long before he graces Glasgow again with his superb talent!!!!

  6. Jenny Connell Says:

Glasgow knows how to rock! The audience were going wild even before the lights went down and when Mick finally made his entrance – after a rip-roaring instrumental from the band – I thought the roof would blow off the elegant concert hall! Wow!! And the pace never stopped all night – stupendous atmosphere and with Mick and his great band on top form, I didn’t want it to end. This tour is getting better and better. Great setlist and please play that harmonica again Mick – it makes me tingle!!!! Fabulous!! Keep it coming…
